Since the breakfast is included in the price, everyone passes in the breakfast room. At 8.30 we all (except Hans) take the boat to Isla del Sol. It lasts approximately 2u to sail to the North side of the Island.
After a refreshing drink we ask a the local guide to visit the small museum (with discoveries of Cousteau) and the Chincana ruins. In spite of the warm weather, half of the group decides to walk foot to the south of the island. Over the hills (250m above the lake) and with splendid view over Titicaca lake. Veerle and I have, however, missed the highlight of the decend (sun gate). We walk accidentally 150m too far. (Where were the sign?).
Now it is still another hour to Copacabana. Here Veerle and I will take a revenge, and we climb to the top of the Calvarie mountain. Exactly in time to photograph a great sunset. On the way back we buy a t-shirt, and then I return to the chamber. I do not feel very well and a warm shower must take care of that. Veerle goes with Britta, Loes and Erik to eat in a restaurant.
