Sucre - Tarabuco - Sucre

Today the whole group will visit the Sunday market of Tarabuco. So an early rise (7 am) to take a shower and have breakfast ensures that we can depart at 8.30. The ride to Tarabuco lasts an hour and a half. Halfway the view is fabulous enough to have a photo stop an stretch our legs.
We get a couple of hours to visit the village and of course the market. Many stands are really there for the local people. Vegetables, fruit, potatoes and furniture can be bought. Some souvenirs are sold, but their number turns out better than expected so that the environment of the traditional market does not suffer (from loads of tourists). The cloth (including the mixture of heads) gives the event an old-fashioned, but authentic look.
After we have admired the view over the city, it's time to return to Sucre. Pity it's a 3 hour drive for a 2 our visit. Just before we leave, we see a procession around the central square.
Back in Sucre we walk to the convent La Ricletta, with a superb view over a quiet capital. We enjoy a pleasant sun, and wait until she disappears behind the hills. Also meaning that it's time to find a restaurant. We enter the "Swiss" restaurant. Rob and Margreet are already here. It's takes an hour before dinner is served but afterwards we conclude that they needed as many people (read tourists) as possible to see and hear (and sponsor) the performance act of a local group.
By 10 pm we return to the hotel, and we even have to knock on the door to get in.
