Saturday 26 August 2000 -- Brussels - Frankfurt - Calgary
  We're beginning in Brussels with a technical problem: a flat tire.

Sunday 27 August 2000 -- Calgary - Fort McLeod - Burmis

Monday 28 August 2000 -- Burmis - Banff
  To "The Rockies", through Kananaskis Country.
  It's still a strange sight to see the animals on the road.
  Almost in Banff...

Tuesday 29 August 2000 -- Banff - Lake Louise
  The walk in Johnston Canyon...
  ... until we reach the "The Inkpots".
  At Lake Louise we're walking to "The plain of six glaciers".
  Of course we need to go back...

Wednesday 30 August 2000 -- Lake Louise - Sentinel Pass - Field (Yoho)
  Sentinel Pass Trail: there is a bear in the area...
  The last climb to the pass.
  And a beautifull sight at "The valley of ten peaks".
  "Moraine Lake" is a great environment to take a rest after the walk.

Thursday 31 August 2000 -- Field - Ice Line Trail - Emerald Lake - Field
  The first climb to the Iceline Trail is very steep.
  The Tamataka falls are bursting on the other side of the valley .
  The highest viewpoint on the trail, with a 360 view

Friday 1 September 2000 -- Field - Athabasca Glacier - Banff
  How to get a dry tent in the rain?
  Rather cold at noon.
  Walking in "Single file" on Athabasca Glacier.
  The endpoint is near the bus stop...

Saturday 2 September 2000 -- Banff - Morley - Wilcox Creek
  "Grand entry"
  Drum players playing live dance music.
  Action in Banff National Park...
  ... a bear !!

Sunday 3 September 2000 -- Wilcox Creek - Jasper
  Our first elk in Jasper National Park.
  All setups are good to keep it dry...

Monday 4 September 2000 -- Jasper - Mt Robson
  Entering Mount Robson Provincial Park (on the western side).
  Canada: land of trees and water...
  And some strange sign, we will never see in Belgium...

Tuesday 5 September 2000 -- Mt Robson (Berg Lake)
  Crossing the bridge to Berg Lake.
  Almost at our endpoint...

Wednesday 6 September 2000 -- Mt Robson (Berg Lake)
  a beautiful day, with a beautiful view on the glacier.
  On our way up, we meet some marmots in the snow.
  The final part to Snowbird Pass was coverred with snow.

Thursday 7 September 2000 -- Mt Robson - Jasper
  Mount Robson at sunrise.
  The river valley is breath taking.

Friday 8 September 2000 -- Jasper - Maligne Lake - Jasper
  Maligne Canyon
  Spirit Island
  "One man theatre" in Jasper: the live off David Thompson (by Jeff Shea).

Saturday 9 September 2000 -- Jasper - Mt Edith Cavell - Athabasca falls - Jasper
  Snow avalance at Angel Glacier (Mt Edith Cavell).
  A lake with ice cubes under Angel Glacier.
  We can't leaving Canada without canoeing: Lake Pyramid.
  A night search for bevers: the only proof of there presence...

Sunday 10 September 2000 -- Jasper - Prince George
  The last view on Jasper, ...
  ... while leaving the rockies with the Skeena...
  The country slowly glides away.

Monday 11 September 2000 -- Prince George - Prince Rupert
  The "Skeena river", the endpoint is near.
  At the coast, our first fish restaurant!

Tuesday 12 September 2000 -- Prince Rupert - Port Hardy
  Boarding the ferry before sunrise.
  The Inside Passage to the south.
  A whale gives variation in our trip...
  ... but the islands are like fairytales.

Wednesday 13 September 2000 -- Port Hardy - Alert Bay - Telegraph Cove
  Waiting for the car. So let's mail home and give some help with the website.

  A beautiful sunset while returning to Vancouver Island.

Thursday 14 September 2000 -- Telegraph Cove (Grizzly Bear Tour)
  Searching for bears with "Tide Rip Tours", on a zodiac...
  a modified bus will do it...
  And it was promised that we would see bears.
  They even approach the bus very close!

Friday 15 September 2000 -- Telegraph Cove - Port Albini
  Telegraph Cove is a great place for trips.
  We will see a total of 35 whales...
  ... one comes very close...
  ...just under the boat.
  But it's always amazing.
  They really enjoy playing.

Saturday 16 September 2000 -- Port Albini - Tofino - Ucluelet - Port Albini
  Longbeach, a unique beach in Canada...
  One of the endpoints of the Transcanadian highway.
  On the way back we even saw a glimp of a black bear.

Sunday 17 September 2000 -- Port Albini - Chemainus - Duncan - Victoria
  One of the wall paintings in Chemainus.
  The famous totempoles and wall paintings in Duncan.
  We reach the south most point of out trip: Victoria.

Monday 18 September 2000 -- Victoria - Swartzbay - Vancouver
  In Victoria are also Totem poles and "Long houses"
  Just before Vancouver we can't go past the Butchart Gardens.
  In Vancouver we are staying for two nights in this B&B.

Tuesday 19 September 2000 -- Vancouver
  The first (and last) world city on our trip: Vancouver.
  Ending the day in the Museum of Anthropology.

Wednesday 20 September 2000 -- Vancouver - Kamloops
  The final visit in Vancouver: a bike ride in Stanley Park area...
  ... and on the beach.
  Oops, a little problem with our rental car, but we'ra lucky, it's no big problem...

Thursday 21 September 2000 -- Kamloops - Revelstroke - Glacier National Park
  Revelstroke: time for a short break...
  And then almost a 360 degrees view from the top of Mt Revelstroke.

Friday 22 September 2000 -- Glacier National Park - Calgary
  Pausing on Avalanche Crest, in Glacier National Park.
